Hey :D . This week has been really fun for me since my family and i celebrated my birthday by having a two-day trip on the 22 and 23 of December. First day, we went to East Coast Park and cycled :D haha. East Coast Park is really big and nice to cycle, although the bikes weren't that good - they need some oiling. Our whole family kind of cycled separately since we went at different speeds, but in the end we found each other :D. The toilet/bathing stations are really new and nice. We had lunch at Katong Hostel after that.
We went zoo after that :D! Yes, the Singapore Mandai Zoo. The queue to buy the tickets were long o_o. I really love the animal smells and i think we went at the wrong time (since everyone woke up late and our schedule was pushed back, thus we reached there in the afternoon), so almost all the animals were sleeping, eg. ocelot cats, leopards, polar bear etc. I really wish i'd brought a camera along! Speaking of camera, i detest people who use flash on those poor creatures. They're sad enough having such a limited area and everyone watching them everyday, disturbing them (i'm guilty of this :/), and they still have to bear all the lights (i hope they don't go blind :/).
Anyway, dad met his friend (with his family) while we were at the Snake House, so they talked and we children went to look about the snakes. They sure look cool, i especially like the Green Anaconda exhibition since it clarified some misconceptions and there was this moulted/sloughed skin on the vines and the Reticulated Python too, since it's rather new to me. We also saw this really orange iguana at the reptile area :D woah. i love it! It started to rain after sometime when we at the crocodile place up north(am i right?) of the map. So we waited till the rain thinned a little and we walked to the Kidz Rain forest place. We saw the horses/ponies in the stables and the goats all running about in the rain and the giant rabbit was, well, quite huge.
The kids play alot at the water playground :D and i like the huge bucket at the top of the playground. When it's filling up almost to the top, a bell starts to ring (since a hole is located at the top side of the bucket and the water leaks, the more the water leaking - and the higher the water level rising - the bell chimes at a faster rate) until it pours down! It was really neat. The kids loved it like mad and crowd around there to get wet. We took the tram to the station nearest to the exit and left the zoo. I kind of miss it now. We had dinner at a small restaurant at Upper Thomson - it was about 7 plus in the evening, and we went home!

On my birthday, the second day, we had planned to walk the nature parks in the morning, but everyone was too tired, so we canceled it :/ besides, we'll smell a lot like zoo animals if we went for lunch afterwards. We had lunch at Ding Tai Feng at Junction 8 with my Granny (since it was her birthday too - lunar calendar), Aunt and maid. Happy Birthday Ah Po :D! Afterwards we went for a movie at Ang Mo Kio Hub's Cathay - The Princess and the frog. I just simply love these disney movies :D it was rated 83% on rottentomato and woah, it sure was great. I love the stories and the singing and also, the life lessons they teach. The should have projected it higher up, since the subtitles was cut off with only about 2/5 visible.
I really reccommand people to wach that :D. it's not only for kids! I really miss these top-rate movies! Bro kept harping on the fact that Avatar 3D would be nice and we should watch it too, so i'm here calling you guys to watch. The scenic view looks better in 3D - as my bro puts it! Anyway, we had dinner at a vegetarian restaurant around Si Mei, since my sis was going to oher two other friends' birthday party at night (yes, same birthdays!) and it was at Savannah Condopark (i hope i spelled it correctly!) and gosh, you cannot believe how superb that condo was. It had this whole long straight path to drive through after passing the guard house and wala, a big (and i really mean BIG) circle with towers - in odd numbers - located within it.
Bro kept saying it looked crammed. But the whole place was soooo cool. It had statues of animals everywhere and i know it's not cheap (building and maintaining and all), but it looks really neat! i thought i was dreaming. It might look a little creepy since it had yellow lightings and it's dark, but gosh, i really love that place! As you'd guess, we went home afterwards. Anyway, i really enjoyed the whole trip and many people gave me their well-wishes and i had the most relaxing two days i've ever had in my whole holiday. Seriously.
Mom and sis bought me a brown soft toy sheep from Nici called Jally Mah. Haha. I love it, thanks. People sms-ed me through the day and people sent letters and cards :D. Joyce's one came early (on the 22 December at night) only because she posted it in really early and Melody Seet's came late only because it rained and i think the post office got a little delay. Haha. Thanks to everyone for wishing me a happy birthday and somehow realising it and remembering it :D. Haha.

Christmas Eve and Christmas itself was uneventful and i sure was strung up the whole time. I couldn't stop thinking about violin, since i did really badly on Sunday. I didn't practice much this week and i focused on relaxing my muscles, which i think is not really working :/. I won't give up, of course, but i'm losing my ends. Somethings, i know it's only up to me, but i can't really seem to reach it, and yes, i get demoralised. I'll still try. It's just missing something already D: . Come back back back! And thinking bout it, i still have chinese untouched for many weeks. I'll have to start it soon :/. I'm not so excited bout school reopening, cause it'll mean January's starting for real. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Fun in the sun.
